According to the infographic below, a total of 3.41 billion IPv4 addresses were allocated in 2024. North America holds the largest share, accounting for 39.8% of allocations, followed by Asia with 26.8% and Europe with 23.7%. Over the past 2 years, 73 countries dropped in their rankings while 53 have gone up. The United States leads in IPv4 allocation, with 1.24 million addresses.
For IP address allocation by usage types, 54.2% of IP address allocated belongs to Fixed Line usage type. Among the top organizations, Verizon holds 75 million IP addresses in the ISP category, and Amazon leads the Data Center category with 78 million addresses. The United Kingdom saw a highest increase of 6.3 million IPv4 addresses compared to 2023. Conversely, the Australia experienced a decline of 4.3 million addresses.
